We are looking for an energetic, people-focused District Manager to lead and support a district of 8 bakery locations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing Bakery Managers and leaders, growing sales, delivering an exceptional guest experience, and ensuring each bakery consistently operates to brand standards.

The District Manager serves as a coach, leader, and business partner to their bakery teams. The ideal candidate is someone who can build strong relationships, hold teams accountable, identify opportunities, and develop leaders while creating a positive, high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities

People & Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Bakery Managers across 8 locations.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline by identifying and developing future leaders.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, bakery visits, and leadership coaching.
  • Provide clear expectations, feedback, recognition, and accountability.
  • Partner with Bakery Managers on recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention.
  • Create a culture centered around our HEART values: Helpful, Excited, Accountable, Ready, Willing & Able, and Trustworthy.
Operations

  • Ensure all 8 bakeries consistently execute brand standards and operational expectations.
  • Conduct regular bakery visits and follow up on opportunities identified during visits.
  • Monitor baking, frosting, crafting, cleanliness, food safety, inventory, labor, and overall bakery execution.
  • Identify operational challenges and create action plans to improve performance.
  • Ensure bakeries are properly staffed and leaders are effectively utilizing their teams.
  • Partner with Bakery Managers to ensure proper execution of systems, processes, and company initiatives.
Sales & Financial Performance

  • Drive sales growth across the district through strong execution and local sales-building opportunities.
  • Review sales, labor, COGS, OSAT, and other key performance indicators.
  • Identify trends and develop action plans to improve financial performance.
  • Coach Bakery Managers on labor management and scheduling to ensure teams are appropriately staffed based on business needs.
  • Encourage and support local fundraising, community partnerships, catering, events, and other sales opportunities.
  • Hold leaders accountable for achieving district and bakery goals.
Guest Experience

  • Champion an exceptional guest experience across all 8 bakeries.
  • Monitor OSAT and guest feedback and partner with leaders to address opportunities.
  • Coach teams on hospitality, product quality, speed of service, and creating memorable guest interactions.
  • Develop action plans for bakeries that are below expectations and follow through until improvements are sustained.
Communication & Accountability

  • Maintain consistent communication with Bakery Managers and leadership.
  • Lead regular district calls and provide clear direction on priorities and initiatives.
  • Communicate company expectations, updates, and changes effectively.
  • Follow up on commitments and ensure action plans are completed.
  • Partner with senior leadership and other District Managers to share best practices and solutions.
What We're Looking For

  • Multi-unit management experience, preferably in food service, retail, hospitality, or another fast-paced customer-focused environment.
  • Experience leading and developing managers across multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of sales, labor, staffing, guest experience, and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to coach leaders while maintaining accountability.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze business results and turn data into actionable plans.
  • Ability to build relationships while setting clear expectations.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to jump in and support the team when needed.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between 8 bakery locations.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means having 8 strong, well-led bakeries with Bakery Managers who understand their business, develop their teams, execute operational standards, and consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The District Manager should not simply solve problems for their teams — they should develop leaders who can solve problems independently, creating sustainable performance across the district.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
