Position Summary:
The Bake Assistant supports the bakery team in producing high-quality cakes that meet Nothing Bundt Cakes’ standards for freshness, taste, and presentation. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient kitchen operations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting bakers with daily production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and production of cakes, including measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients
Support bakers with daily baking schedules to ensure product availability and freshness
Prepare cake pans, liners, and ingredients in advance of baking
Monitor baking processes and assist with oven management as directed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and ingredient rotation (FIFO)
Wash dishes, utensils, and baking equipment as needed
Support team members to ensure smooth and efficient bakery operations

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen or baking experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Basic understanding of food safety practices is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment

Work Environment:

Fast-paced bakery setting
Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability may be required

Compensation: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
