The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Froster ensures that cakes are consistently prepared to the highest quality standards and supports a superior guest experience by meeting daily production demands. This role follows a proprietary frosting recipe, adheres to NbC’s standardized frosting techniques, and upholds all food safety protocols. The Froster is responsible for preparing our signature frosting and skillfully applying it to all cake sizes using consistent, approved methods. A successful Froster embodies the NbC core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence, efficiency, and teamwork in the workplace.

Accountabilities/Duties: 
  • Follows NbC’s proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision while consistently meeting productivity goals.
  • Uses measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixers, and pastry bags to frost cakes efficiently and accurately.
  • Prioritizes pre-orders based on the baking and frosting schedule and fulfills walk-in guest orders as needed.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes for the bakery display case, ensuring proper par levels are met.
  • Follows all guidelines for packaging, labeling, storing, and rotating frosted cakes; completes and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs.
  • Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and communicates replenishment needs to management in a timely manner.
  • Inspects baked and frosted cakes to ensure they meet NbC quality standards and reports any concerns to management.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks the workstation; prepares frosting supplies for the next shift and assists with dishwashing as needed.
  • Adheres to all health and safety regulations and NbC policies, including dress code and personal hygiene standards.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Comprehension – Reads and follows written and verbal instructions, including recipes, order tickets, operating procedures, and health-and-safety guidelines (NbC recipes are provided in both English and Spanish).
  • Measurement Proficiency – Understands and uses U.S. units of measure accurately.
  • Manual Dexterity – Performs repetitive tasks that require precise, continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Physical Stamina – Lifts up to 50 lbs and stands for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail – Uses exact measurements, adheres to strict timing, and thrives in a fast-paced production schedule.
  • Quality Focus – Evaluates products and processes to ensure they meet NbC standards.
  • Safety & Cleanliness – Rigorously follows health-and-safety practices and maintains a clean work environment.
  • Self-Motivation & Organization – Prioritizes tasks effectively and works independently with minimal supervision.
Education, Certifications & Experience
  • Minimum Age – Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Preferred Experience – Prior work in a bakery, restaurant, or other food-service environment is a plus, though not required.
Work Availability
  • Required Shifts – Friday 2 p.m.–7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
