Job Description:
Looking for a FUN and ADVENTUROUS job? Do you like to travel to new places and see new faces? If so, you’ve come to the right place! The Nothing Bundt Cakes Events Team Member supports and leads off- site events. You will create a warm, welcoming environment for our guests at our off-site events. Getting to be the first point of contact to engage, educate and encourage our guests who may or may not have tasted our awesome cakes before. You will be the Nothing Bundt Cakes “Joy Ambassador”, creating a memorable experience while leaving a positive, lasting impression.
Events Team Member Responsibilities:
- Understand and maintain understanding of products, services, and promotions.
- Unloading cakes and setting up venues for events independently.
- Operating cash registers.
- Working under the instructions of the Manager/Operators.
- Ensuring the event and equipment used is clean, organized and ready to use.
- Adhering to event safety standards.
- Assuming the role of welcoming guests with a hospitable greeting.
- Dispensing useful information to eventgoers.
- Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it daily.
- Packing up equipment when the event is completed.
Events Team Member Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Has the ability to lift heavy items up to 50lbs or more while working in an indoor or outdoor setting
- Able to stand for long periods of time while indoor or outdoors maintaining physical stamina and high energy levels.
- Possess an attention to detail and the ability to adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication using problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Ability to perform under stress while multitasking
- Must have current and clean North Carolina State Driver’s License
- Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- While no formal education or work experience is required, previous guest service experience at a bakery, restaurant or retail store is a plus.
Work Availability:
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands. The events will determine the schedule which include evenings and weekends. Other work hours maybe working in the bakery for a total of 15-20 hours per week.
