The Nothing Bundt Cakes Baker/Baker's Assistant sets the stage and makes the magic in our bakery possible. You’ll keep the bakery team’s equipment clean and help make cakes that bring joy to thousands of people every day.
Must be 18+ years old to apply. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, bend, and stand for up to 8 hours, lift 50lbs (occasionally overhead), and work in a commercial freezer. Bakers are scheduled 7 to 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday, and weekends as business demand dictates. Applicant must have the availability to work during these times to be considered.
The hours for this position start at Part Time, but have the ability to move to a Full Time position if candidate is able to meet the production time standards after 30 days of employment and there is a Full Time position open.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Assisting in producing cake batches
Gathering ingredients, utensils and pans
Commercial oven management
Washing pans, utensils & containers after each batch
Packaging cakes
Cleaning & maintenance of the baking department
Receiving & shelving truck shipments
Using the FIFO method to rotate ingredients
Following food service health and safety standards
The ideal candidate will:
Have prior baking or kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
Enjoy multitasking.
Have the ability to work at a fast pace and hit set baking time standards after 30 days of employment
Have the ability to manage their time with little oversight to ensure the bake plan is completed before leaving each day.
Have be ability to read and follow production directions and recipes exactly as written.
Be accountable to themselves and our team by ensuring that production is always following brand standards.
We offer great working hours! Baking times vary based on needs, but shifts typically run between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
